ADC Experts - Written

The written examination is the second stage of the dental practitioner assessment process. It determines you ‘know how’ to practise dentistry in Australia by assessing your:

  • Knowledge of the science and practice of dentistry, and
  • Clinical judgement and reasoning skills relevant to dental practice in Australia.

ADC Experts Practical Technical

The ADC (Australian Dental Council) Practical Examination is the final stage for overseas-trained dentists seeking to practice in Australia. It assesses clinical skills, knowledge, and professional judgment through a two-day exam conducted in Melbourne. The exam includes a Technical Skills Day focusing on procedures on a manikin and a Clinical Skills Day with OSCE stations simulating patient interactions. Successful completion allows candidates to apply for registration with the Dental Board of Australia. 
 
 

ADC Experts Practical OSCE

The Australian Dental Council (ADC) practical examination assesses clinical skills through an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) format. To prepare effectively, focus on clinical reasoning, hands-on skills, and time management, using recommended textbooks, reference guides, and official ADC resources. Practice stations simulating real-life scenarios, and consider joining a coaching program for expert guidance.
